Sara, confused as to why Soma looked so excited for the start of the new school year, asks what makes him so happy. He seems hesitant, but then explains that he started going out with Sara's bully, Akari. Naturally, Sara disapproves of the relationship. Soma is upset about his sister's reaction and after Sara explains what Akari has done to her, Soma says he believes she could've changed, only to Sara's spite. (After this point, you can watch the video linked above for the rest of the introduction.) Soma grows upset and storms off, walking the rest of the way to the school on his own. The scene following features Class 1-1 listening to the teacher explain everything they need to know regarding the new school year. Sara asks to head to the bathroom, and when the teacher reluctantly gives permission, Sara heads into the hallway.
